Chinese Gender Chart

Today is the last date to accpet entries for the free photo contest. This month we have received many entries and I am happy that this site is becoming so popular. And parents also like the fact that they can enter photo contests for free.

Yesterday I added the Chinese Gender Chart on my site. It was true in my case :) . I would like to hear from other moms and know if this worked for them as well. To have a look at the Chinese Gender Chart, you can click here.

And also my Adsense income is increasing every month and it is a good sign. I hope to make many more from Google Adsense.

Mails sent to parents

Emails sent to all the parents who did enter the free photo contest but the photos were not uploaded.

Some parents are so quick. Just after getting the emails, there entry was there up again. I wonder if these entries were done from home or office ;)

Anyway it is good to parents are so keen to enter photo contests and show off their babies. I used to do the same with Urjit. But these days I just don't have time. I need to update his website as well. It has not been done in ages. There are so many photos of Urjit to be uploaded.

Free Photo Contest

All the contest entries received till 17th of July are posted on the site. There are about 150 entries in all but it seems the upload page was having some problem and parents were not able to upload the photos of their babies.

Blogspot blocked in India

Yesterday only I started my KidsandBibs blogspot and yesterday evening it was not accessible. It seems due to recent Mumbai blasts on 11th July, the ISPs have been instructed to block some blogging websites like typepad.com , blogspot.com, geocities.com etc.

Anyway it is cool that atleast blogger.com is opening and I am able to open my account and add in new entries. I am sure this issue must be resolved soon as Indians do love to blog and it will be hard for the Indian Govt. to let this happen for long. They need to do something about the security issues rather than just blocking the blog sites.

If someone has to get information through blogs and they have access to internet then they cna very well access the same by doing Remote Desktop Connection to a computer located outside India.

So let's hope that the blogspot works soon. I have become a member in Digital Point Forums. I found the forum quite interesting and it is good to find so many interesting topics and with so many active memebers always posting their views. I was searching for a good forum on Google Adsense when I came across this forum and it is really a good platform for people who wish to learn something new.

Modelling Contest - May-June 2006

Finally I was able to update my home page with the new photos of our baby model - Megan Jane who has has been judged as our Grandsupreme winner. She will be on the top banner of our home page for a period of two months ie July and August 2006. Megan looks so beautiful and sweet.. I am sure she has a very very bright future.

I also liked the other winners Elicia and Aaron. Aaron was judged by our panel of judges (parents) whom we selected in a draw from the parents of our free photo contestants. For them it was tough to decide between Megan, Elicia and Aaron but at the end, the final decision went for Aaron and he was judged the Parent's choice.

KidsandBibs - fun filled contests

After 22 months of starting the site, I still feel the love and passion for this site and it seems everyday is just a new beginning and there are still lots of things to be done on my site.

It is very very tough sometimes to keep things up to date but still I am trying my best and the hard work is paying off. I have started earning from google Adsense as well... not a very big amount though.. but just a few hundred dollars.. but I believe some extra money is always welcome when you have so much extra expenses to keep the site up to date.

I still feel that free contests are still more popular compared to the paid ones as parents are still hesitant to pay money online that too just for a contest. And again there are some parents who are really very keen about paid contests and you will find their kids being entered in each and every paid contests on the net you come across.
